Sundra was founded by three Icelandic entrepreneurs who originally set out to explore AI applications for video editing. While building an early prototype, something unexpected happened - customers kept coming back to one feature: automatic captioning.
The reason was clear. L&D teams were spending hours manually transcribing video content word by word, then handing files off to agencies, waiting weeks, and paying thousands - only to start the process again for the next language.
We knew there had to be a better way. So we built Sundra: an AI-powered platform that lets HR and L&D teams caption, translate, and publish training content into 70+ languages in minutes. No agencies. No spreadsheets. No waiting.
Today, Sundra operates fully remotely across five countries, serving L&D teams at companies managing training for tens of thousands of employees worldwide.
