Localization

Training in every language your people speak.

Sundra transcribes your videos, translates captions, documents and course text into 190+ languages, and voices them over. Colleagues who speak each language review every line before it goes out.

How it works

  1. 1

    Upload and transcribe

Upload a video or audio file, or import it from Vimeo. Sundra transcribes it in 90+ languages, with speaker labels and your company's own terms.

  2. 2

    Translate and voice

Pick the languages you need. Captions, text blocks and documents are translated, and voice-over can read the translation in a natural voice.

  3. 3

    Review and export

Your Language Ambassadors, colleagues you invite to the team, review each language in the caption editor. Then export captions, documents or a finished video.

Good to know

  • Translation is AI first, with your reviewers last. Captions that someone has reviewed are what help you meet WCAG 2.1 AA and the European Accessibility Act.
  • Sundra works on recordings. Live captioning of meetings and events is not available yet.
  • When the source video changes, upload the new version and run the translations again.

Questions about localization

Which languages does Sundra support?

Translation into 190+ languages, transcription in 90+ and voice-over in 90+, including regional variants such as Canadian French, Brazilian Portuguese and Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

Can our own staff review the translations?

Yes. Invite colleagues who speak each language to your team as Language Ambassadors. They edit captions in the caption editor, where every change is recorded and can be undone, and comment for the rest of the team.

Which formats can we export for our LMS?

Captions as SRT, VTT or TXT, several languages at once as a ZIP, and MP4 video with the subtitles burned in for systems that cannot load caption files.

Can you translate an existing SCORM course?

Yes. Import a SCORM 1.2 or 2004 package, review the translated text segment by segment, and download the translated package for your LMS.

Do you train AI models on our content?

No. Your content is yours. We never use customer videos, audio or documents to train AI models.
